BrowserStack is hiring an early-career WordPress Engineer to build and maintain high-quality CMS-driven web experiences powering its global marketing and product footprint. Working in a remote-first setup under the mentorship of senior engineers, you will convert design wireframes into responsive production pages, integrate third-party tools via APIs, and optimize site components for performance, accessibility, and SEO. The position fits a developer with solid front-end foundations who wants to take ownership of real production web platforms used by millions of global software engineers.

Requirements:

  • 1–3 years of experience building websites or web applications with a strong learning mindset.
  • Solid core fundamentals in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript alongside proven experience building responsive, mobile-first web layouts.
  • Good working knowledge of PHP and core WordPress basics, including custom themes, templates, plugins, and backend CMS workflows.
  • Practical familiarity interacting with REST APIs and parsing data formats such as JSON or XML.
  • Hands-on experience executing version control via Git and a functional structural knowledge of MySQL or similar relational databases.
  • Basic conceptual understanding of user authentication and authorization parameters.
  • Develop custom WordPress assets, transform wireframes into production code, build clean front-end components, resolve bugs, participate in engineering code reviews, and optimize page performance.
  • Good debugging, problem-solving, communication, and cross-team collaboration skills to align effectively with design, marketing, and product groups.
